The event sees Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens transformed into a light and sound experience. It opened this year on the 13th November and will run till the 6th December 2015. The event was launched last year and proved to be extremely popular with adults and children.

It returns this year with a reducing in pricing and free entry for under 5 year olds. They also have a family ticket which provide additional savings for two adults and two children.

Tickets can be booked on line at West End Festival or purchased on the night at ‘Oran Mor’ at the top of Byres Road.

Its well worth a visit and come highly recommended, further details can be found at  West End Festival.

Its worth check their website during periods of adverse weather as the event is outdoors its obviously dependent on the weather. Although organisers say it will only be cancelled if there are high winds, but go prepared for the cold and rain.

Most seasoned campers will have their essential equipment with them and they are usually well prepared, but what about the rest of us? I have to admit I hate packing and most of the time I leave it to the last minute, much to the annoyance of my wife.

The result of me failing to prepare properly means I always forget something, and its usually something we really needed. This has the potential to spoil the trip or ends up with a trip to the local shops! Trust me, I now have a collection of bottle openers and can openers!
